You can follow any responses to this entry through the RSS 2. I can manage citations with Papers2 pretty well. Have a look at the picture below. If there is extensive citation information I can always have copies of those sources in the references folder and work off of those in a parallel window with Word. However, once your moving, they all save hours and hours of work. Chapter 2 only needed minor changes.

I use the cite while you write features in Papers 2 to cite references — it works reasonably well. Now I use Mendeley to organise my references owrkflow do my referencing for me, and Scrivener for writing. Thank you for a great post!

Medeley has an option to copy and paste LaTEX Citation Scruvener into your document, which could then be used to generate your bibliography during the final layout. Give them a try, and I guarantee you they will change how you write. Being able to jump around your structure like this completely changes how you write, and how much you write.
Tnesis made things a bit complex to workout. I always use the blank template. I hope to make a video to explain my complete note-taking, then mind mapping as neededthen designing, then drafting, then honing process via my Citavi-to-Docear-to-Idea Mason-to-Ms Word workflow, hopefully once I submit my thesis.
So, if I needed to make minor changes I did not go back to Scrivener.
Also, I use Simplenote on the iPad to write on the go and it syncs nicely with Scivener. There is also a free trial period of 30 days worlflow try it out before you buy it.
